After 5 years of seemingly happy union, 37 year old Jenny McCarthy and 48 year old Jim Carrey announced their breakup via Twitter.

Jenny:  "I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I had together," McCarthy wrote. "I will stay committed to Jane [Carrey's 22-year-old daughter] and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart."

Jim:  "Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship", "I'm grateful 4 the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best!"
